Protect your light is a burnout awareness campaign concept developed in collaboration with the Ad Council and the National Alliance for Mental Illness. The challenge was to create and advertisement that feels evocative. This visual is appealing to those 21 and older who are in college or in careers working long hours. The centerpiece of the design is a candle burning from both ends, a powerful metaphor for burnout. Just as the candle will extinguish itself more quickly when burned at both ends, people can lose their inner spark when they push themselves too hard without break. The imagery invites viewers to reflect on how they should protect their own light before it’s gone.
